Art at St. Paul's
Our altar icons, communion vessels, stations of the cross, and baptismal font were all created by artists in our community.

Icons
The most prominent artwork at St. Paul's is the Triptych of Icons, created by St. Louis artist Evan T. Smith. This colorful series hangs above the altar in the church. They represent Saint Paul (our patron saint), Jesus Christ, and Mary Mother of God. The Lunette icon was the final installation (completed in 2022), rising above the other three.

Artist Evan Smith invited the people of our congregation to participate in the paining of the Saint Paul icon. This video is a time lapse of the process. (Music courtesy of Alexander Weymann.)

Stations of the Cross
|
In 2019, we launched our Stations of the Cross exhibit. Neighbors who attend our community meal participated in creating the images. The frames were designed and built by Evan Smith. All 13 stations hang on the walls of the worship space. In 2022, we replaced the images with new interpretations created by members of our congregation.
